January 22, 2009 – The 81st Academy Awards Oscar nominees have been released as the Oscar’s Deli Awards delivers up a feast of predictions.
Oscar’s Deli shares the upcoming predictions with an after-taste of the 2009 Golden Globes Award winners. Here we find that Slumdog Millionaire racks up multi-Golden Globe Awards.
Best Slice of Bread Award is given to Slumdog Millionaire for shoveling out less than what is about to come in. Slumdog Millionaire financially was kept at bay, unlike other released 2008 movies, as they may want to come out with a second version called Slumdog Trillionaire. Since Slumdog Millionaire has reached it to the 2009 Oscar nominees list, Oscar’s Deli predicts that Slumdog Millionaire just may walk away with a 2009 Oscar.
Benjamin’s button is about to pop from the Oscar’s Deli feast, as The Curious Case of Benjamin Button lacked during the Golden Globes, however may make up for the loss through grabbing a 2009 Oscar. With a better public view of this film, it is easy to see why The Curious Case of Benjamin Button snags the Oscar’s Deli Award for Best Button Pop. Bet you didn’t see that coming!
Oscar’s Deli also shares other winners of the Oscar’s Deli Awards, including Best Slap of Cheese Award which is given to Mickey Rourke.
